The Oxford Character Project hosted the “Character, Culture, and Leadership in UK Business” conference last week in Oxford at the Rhodes House.
I was honoured to be there to present on “#Character and Organisational #Culture“. Three real characters helped me navigate the fascinating dynamic between personal #character and #organisations: Edward Smith (captain of the Titanic), Ernest Shackleton (explorer), and Catherine Johnson (mathematician).
Michael Lamb then moderated our panel conversation with Sarah GillardDr. Doyin Atewologun and David Rouch. #thankyou for the good conversation!
I want to thank Edward Brooks and his fantastic team for making this event possible and gathering such an interesting group of people.
I am particularly grateful to Michael Lamb, Adam Grodecki, David Rouch, Paolo Cervini, Elisa Farri, Melissa Jones Briggs, Amalia Amaya, Charles Wookey, Hitendra Wadhwa, Corey Crossan, PhDAnjali Sarker, Luna Wang, Dr Rebecca ParkAndrew Maile and Jocelyn Krauss for the inspiring conversations and the opportunity to share common interests and ideas. A special thank you to Lily Elsner for her invaluable support.
I bring home fresh ideas for #research and #teaching, and for the never ending and daily challenge of personal #flourishing.
